Well, considering his kidnappers brought him along for precisely the kind of protection against demons, while going on foot through the countryside, it turns out that Kazik had seen a lot more than he had really intended to. In fact, he carries around a few trinkets to ensnare them, since he finds it easiest to conduct magic through objects.
